JOB SUMMARY: Performs tasks under the realm of professional license. Answers directly to clinical managers and Director of Clinical Services. Works under the direction of licensed physicians physician-extenders performing work-related duties as required. Triages, assesses, and treats patients requiring the services of Urgent Care.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS: Direct relationship with patients/families, physicians and staff.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Graduation from accredited school of nursing, current New York State License. Must exhibit excellent customer service skills at all times. All RN’s are required to be trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of their start date. Specialty RN’s are required to be trained in Advanced Life Support (ALS). This training will be performed by our Clinical Educator and/or Clinical Coordinator at no cost to the staff, with the exception of a nominal fee to cover training materials where applicable. The staff member will be paid for attending the class as this is a requirement of their job. It is the employee responsibility to keep this training current.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Classification of work level: Heavy. Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics. Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computer, fax and telephone. Requires hearing and vision that is adequate to perform job duties.
