Schedule Changes in Pediatrics During COVID19 Prevention

A message from Slocum-Dickson’s Pediatrics Department:

During this time of heightened precautions due to the Coronavirus, we are making changes to the way we see patients effective March 16, 2020.  All well visits, follow-ups, immunizations, and medication checks will take place in the morning hours. It may be determined after speaking with a staff member, that some immunizations and medication checks may be extended out 3 to 4 weeks. Newborns will be seen as scheduled in the early morning.  Children under 1 year of age will be given priority to continue well visits and immunizations on schedule. Sick visits will be seen in the afternoon only.

Your physician’s office will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. For the time being, nursing staff will continue to call ahead to ask about travel history and coronavirus exposure.

We ask that you assist us in limiting unnecessary traffic throughout our building.  Please do not bring additional adults or siblings to appointments, only 1 attendant per patient is necessary.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are confident this is the best course of action to maintain the health and well-being of our patients.
