I chose to pursue medicine at a young age after my older sister became a nurse. I learned first through her experiences, then my own, that medicine offers a challenging yet exceptionally rewarding career that allows me to learn every day while improving patients’ lives.
Being a physician assistant is very rewarding because it allows me to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care, develop trusting patient-provider relationships, and improve treatment outcomes. I was drawn to dermatology because it presents a unique opportunity for patients to observe the efficacy of treatment in real time, helping to improve self-confidence through the successful management of various skin conditions.
I enjoy spending time outdoors doing activities like softball, golf, and boating. I also love reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
