I had always known I wanted to go into medicine ever since I was a child. Upon maturing, my desire become more realistic and wanting to understand how and why the body functions. I wanted to use this information to help improve the lives of everyone around me. I chose podiatry specifically because I enjoy the diversity of the field. The ability to perform routine care, planned surgical procedures and treat acute trauma as well as the option to focus on sports medicine, pediatric or biomechanics etc. allows for developing a practice of my own choosing. I enjoy the ability to relieve a patient’s pain sometimes with the simplest of procedures and seeing their smiles as they walk out.
I enjoy traveling, history and experiencing new cultures via food, art and museums. Spending time outdoors, hiking, playing golf or tennis, and spending time by the pool. I am a voracious reader, typically reading several books at the same time. I commonly read historical fiction or fantasy novels. Also, now that I have finished my residency I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and friends.

I am routinely told by my patients that they enjoy my friendly and inviting demeanor. Also, that I am capable of explaining complex medical conditions in an comprehensive manner without seeming condescending.
I was born and raised in the Herkimer Valley, where most of my family still resides, including my ever growing immediate and extended family.
