During my early years of childhood I found myself in and out of the hospital on numerous occasions. I was surrounded by physicians that showed admirable care for not only me as the patient, but to my family as a whole. The manner in which my physicians cared for me and my family resonated deeply throughout my life, steering me to a career in medicine that would allow me the opportunity to provide that same care that I received those many years ago.

Dermatology is a beautiful profession that combines the best of clinical, surgical, and microscopic aspects of medicine. In no other discipline, moreover, can patients better see their diseases progress and their bodies’ response to treatment right before their eyes. Most importantly perhaps, the field incorporates meaningful and enduring interaction with patients.
