Is the vaccine safe?

Yes. The COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized and approved for use by the FDA, medical professionals and a New York State independent advisory task force.  While there may be some minor side effects, they are signs that the body’s immune response and the vaccine are both working. The vaccine is also safe for people with underlying health conditions. You are more likely to become ill without the vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine is now approved for children 12 and up and may be approved for 5 and up soon. If you have specific questions, you should contact your primary care provider for more information.
