Mohammad-Ali Yazdani Abyaneh, MD will be Joining the Dermatology Department

Slocum-Dickson Medical Group is pleased to announce that Mohammad-Ali Yazdani Abyaneh, MD will be joining the Dermatology Department on October 3, 2019.  Dr. Yazdani specializes in general dermatology including procedures such as: skin biopsies, dermatoscopy, shave removals, excisions, electrodessication & curettage, intralesional injections, incision & drainage, wrinkle reduction, filler injections, and biologic therapies. 

He provides treatment for a variety of skin conditions including: skin cancer, moles, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, acne, rosacea, warts, cysts, infections, hair loss, autoimmune skin disorders, and wrinkles. Dr. Yazdani welcomes patients of all ages to his practice.

Dr. Yazdani completed his Dermatology Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City where he also served as Chief Resident.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City and earned his Medical Degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY.  He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Yazdani’s approach to medicine is “to be comprehensive and compassionate in caring for all of my patients and their families.” He added, “I strongly believe in explaining everything to patients with clarity, making sure they understand their condition and all of its treatment options, and ensure they are a part of any decision that affects their health and well-being.”

Dr. Yazdani was an active member of the editorial board of the Skin Health Newsletter published by the Mount Sinai Health System. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles as well as text book chapters, and was the recipient of multiple medical resident scholarship awards.
